Accreditation

The Middle-Brook Regional Health Commission has been working towards putting in place the standards required for national voluntary public health accreditation, a designation established by the Public Health Accreditation Board. Accreditation has become the ‘gold standard’ for health department operations, and we are striving to meet these robust standards. The Commission has completed the three pre-requisite documents: Community Health Assessment, Community Health Improvement Plan and MBRHC Strategic Plan. Meeting the standards and measures of national accreditation is a challenging and time-consuming activity, but we will continue to move forward in meeting with all the provisions thereby improving the way the health department operates and performs.
